Ken Turek has practiced in San Diego for over thirty-five years, and is a Master of the Bench and former President of the American Inns of Court, William B. Enright Chapter. He attended in 1998, and since 1999 has served on the national faculty of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College where he donates his time to teach American lawyers how to better protect people and communities through our system of justice.
Mr. Turek is a three time recipient of the Outstanding Trial Lawyer awards for excellence from the Consumer Attorneys Association of San Diego. He has obtained several multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements for plaintiffs in a broad range of areas from serious personal injury to business fraud. Since 1989, his peers have awarded him the highest rating for legal skills and ethics in the national Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory (AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5), and also named him a San Diego Top Attorney in 2006 and a Southern California Super Lawyer every year since 2007.
Mr. Turek has twice taken first place honors in the prestigious Silver Tongue Extemporaneous Speaking Competition and frequently speaks before legal and other professional groups both nationally and within California. He has been on the governing boards of several law-related organizations including the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.

Seven and eight-figure trial results in child sex abuse cases;
$ 9,450,000.00 on behalf of family for wrongful death of farm worker;
$ 11,375,000.00 settlement during trial of construction defect case involving family housing safety;
$ 5,025,828.00 jury verdict for non-profit in insurance broker negligence case;
$ 10,675,000.00 Pretrial settlement for eminent domain case in which highest offer to property owner was $ 759,000 before retaining Mr.Turek;
$ 4,350,000.00 jury verdict in housing safety/personal injury case; and
$ 3,923,325.00 jury verdict in fraud case.
Mr. Turek donated his time and expertise to represent two families pro bono in their applications and hearings in New York under the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund before Special Master Kenneth Feinberg. One of the families, of NYC Rescue Firefighter Lt. Peter Martin, was profiled in a History Channel documentary in September 2011. .
As part of his service to the legal profession Mr. Turek frequently speaks on balance and fulfillment issues for lawyers, including since 2007, presentations at annual conferences of the American Bar Association. He consults on courtroom, practice and life issues with lawyers practicing in jurisdictions throughout America.
Mr. Turek also writes and performs comedy. He has performed stand-up comedy at numerous venues including The Comedy Store, The Improv, and the House of Blues, including a first-place finish in the 2013 and 2009 LafOff Stand-Up Comedy Competitions at the House of Blues. Several of his comedic videos appear on YouTube.com. His written comedy has appeared in a variety of forms in regional and national publications including Newsweek, USA Today and The New York Times.
